The Waianapanapa Caves.

There is a short looped trail down to the caves from the Waianapanapa  State Park parking lot . The caves are actually a collapsed lava tube and are very damp, mossy and extremely lush. They contain two pools both of which are red in color, due to the numerous shrimp that frequent their bottoms.
