The lovely African Tulip Tree.

The African Tulip Tree, native to tropical Africa, blooms all along the Road to Hana.  In fact, their brilliant red flowers bloom all year long.  Because of this, it is often planted for ornamental reasons in tropical climates.  As you’re driving along the Road to Hana, you’ll suddenly see beautiful red blossoms standing out among the lush greenery.  When you do, you’ll know you’ve seen an African Tulip Tree.
