Our favorite thing about the Road to Hana is how many different trails, waterfalls, and swimming holes it has to offer.  There is so much to see and do along the Hana Highway.  However, because of all these beautiful waterfalls and the rainfall that keeps them flowing, the area around Hana is very wet and muddy.  It’s always super important to be cautious when exploring along the Hana Highway.  Be on the lookout for slippery rocks, especially in steep areas.  Also be aware around waterfalls and swimming spots.  For instance, although some locals jump from the higher fall at Twin Falls, we suggest thinking twice before doing this – the pool below is surprisingly shallow.  Take the time to be safe.  We promise your Road to Hana experience will be even more fun with a little extra care.
