The plumeria is a very well-known Hawaiian flower. It is so recognizable because it is perfect for the Hawaiian art of making lei. Plumeria grow in different spots all along the Road to Hana, but one great spot to see them is Kuau Cove, about a mile up the coast from Paia. Their fragrant smell and beautiful petals make these blossoms a favorite for locals and tourists alike. Take a picture in the midst of some falling plumeria blossoms – everyone who sees the shot will have no doubt it was taken in Hawaii!
