Hamoa Beach

is consistently named one of “Maui’s Best Beaches” each year. Hamoa made the list again as “America’s Best Beaches” in 2012 by Dr. Beach in his annual list of top beaches. Dr. Beach (Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman) is Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University and is generally considered the country’s foremost authority on beaches. Hamoa Beach is approximately 1,000 feet in length and just over 100 feet wide. There are plenty of trees and lush vegetation giving the beach plenty of shade, it also has sea cliffs surrounding it.
