One of the most unique attractions on the Road to Hana is the freshwater caves at Waianapanapa State Park. Although only one cave is really suitable for swimming, one of the best parts of experiencing this part of Hana is learning the legends behind the caves. Stop by one of the placards at the trail head and read over the history behind the cave, then go exploring.
