The Plumeria.

The fragrant plumeria flower is often associated with the Hawaiian Islands.  With its wonderful smell and beautiful blossoms, it is easy to see why the plumeria has been a favorite of lei-makers since Hawaii’s ancient days.  The plumeria flower is abundant on the Road to Hana, particularly around Kuau, which is located about a mile up the road from Paia.  Gather a few and wear them in your hair or even make a lei of your own!
